About My Search For Self
My Search For Self is a counselling practice that is dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment for individuals to explore their inner selves and work through life's challenges.
My mission is to help clients gain a deeper understanding of themselves, develop healthier coping mechanisms, and ultimately lead to more fulfilling lives using psychodynamic principles.
Everyone has the inner resources to create positive change, and I am here to support and guide you on your journey towards self-discovery and personal growth. Working together to help you to be successful in your own search for self.
A Little More About Me
My name is Jason Lugg and I am a qualified psychodynamic therapist based in Ongar, Essex, offering compassionate, confidential support to individuals and couples navigating emotional and psychological challenges. With extensive experience in both NHS and private settings, I specialise in working with a large range of mental health difficulties and with clients of all ages.
I have supported clients across South Essex through my work with the South Essex Primary Care Trust and as an Honorary Psychotherapist with the Essex Partnership University Trust. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), committed to upholding the highest standards of ethical and professional care.
My approach is grounded in empathy, insight, and a deep understanding of the unconscious processes that shape our emotional lives. Whether in-person or online, I will create a safe space for clients to explore their experiences, build resilience, and move toward meaningful change.
